Actions & Stuff on Minecraft Realms

Use Actions & Stuff on a Minecraft Bedrock Realm, activate resource content on the Realm world, and troubleshoot local-vs-Realm pack differences. For full setup and resource guides, visit Actions and Stuff.

Actions & Stuff is a Minecraft Bedrock product, and Bedrock Realms can use resource/add-on content activated on the Realm world.

The important point is that the Realm’s world configuration matters.

Having Actions & Stuff active only in your local settings does not automatically mean the Realm world is configured to use it.

How Bedrock Realms handle active content

Microsoft’s current Bedrock instructions allow the Realm owner to edit a Realm world and activate resource or behavior content from the Realm’s world settings.

When a player connects to a Bedrock Realm, Minecraft can automatically download and apply content that has been activated for that Realm.

That makes the Realm owner’s configuration the correct place to start when the pack works locally but not in the Realm.

Marketplace / owned content route

If the Realm owner’s account has legitimate access to the relevant Marketplace content:

  1. open Minecraft Bedrock;
  2. choose Play;
  3. open Realms;
  4. select the Realm and open its settings;
  5. choose the world slot you want to modify;
  6. edit the world;
  7. open Resource Packs or the relevant Add-Ons area;
  8. find the content under My Packs or eligible Marketplace Pass content;
  9. activate it;
  10. confirm the change;
  11. allow Minecraft to upload the updated world configuration to the Realm.

The exact menu labels can change between Bedrock releases.

Follow the current interface shown by Minecraft.

Historical MCPACK route

The archived .mcpack files on this site are different from a current Marketplace entitlement.

If you are deliberately using a manually imported historical resource pack:

  1. use a Bedrock device/platform that supports importing the .mcpack;
  2. import the file;
  3. create or edit a local Bedrock world;
  4. activate the historical pack for that world;
  5. confirm that the world works locally;
  6. then use the appropriate Bedrock Realm upload workflow for that configured world.

Do not assume that a historical manual file becomes a Marketplace purchase simply because the world is uploaded to Realms.

What happens when another player joins?

For Bedrock Realm content configured on the Realm, Minecraft can download and apply the required Realm content for joining Bedrock players.

Players still need to be using Bedrock Edition.

A Java Edition player cannot join a Bedrock Realm simply because Actions & Stuff is installed.

Minecraft Realms is edition-specific.

It works locally but not on the Realm

Check:

  • Is Actions & Stuff actually active in the Realm world’s configuration?
  • Did you modify the correct Realm world slot?
  • Did Minecraft finish uploading the world/configuration change?
  • Are you joining the updated Realm world rather than a different slot?
  • Is the Actions & Stuff version sensible for the Realm’s current Bedrock version?
  • Are other resource packs active and overriding visual assets?

Do not troubleshoot only through Global Resources when the issue exists specifically on the Realm.

Another player does not see the same visuals

First confirm that the pack is actually configured on the Realm world rather than only on the host’s local client.

If it is correctly activated for the Realm, reconnect after Minecraft finishes applying/downloading the Realm’s active content.

If only one player has a problem, check that player’s Bedrock client is current enough for the Realm and that the required content download completed.

Do not tell every member to manually install a historical file unless that is genuinely the configuration you intentionally chose.

Realms and archived Actions & Stuff versions

An old Actions & Stuff release can introduce a second variable into Realm troubleshooting.

If a Realm was updated to a newer Minecraft Bedrock version while the resource pack remained historical, test compatibility before treating the issue as a network/account problem.

Use Actions & Stuff compatibility for that check.

Console Realm players

Bedrock Realms supports cross-platform Bedrock play across supported devices, including consoles, mobile and Windows.

Console players normally rely on the Realm/Marketplace content delivery workflow rather than manually importing an external .mcpack.

For the normal console acquisition route, see Actions & Stuff on console.

Before changing the Realm

If the Realm contains an important world, make a backup before performing major pack/version changes.

Test a new configuration deliberately rather than repeatedly replacing active content on the only important copy of the world.

If players cannot download the pack upon joining your Realm, check our Actions & Stuff troubleshooting guide.
